Leading Financial Institution looks to ThinkCol for Dashboard Revamp

ThinkCol helped one of the largest banks and financial institutions in Hong Kong to optimize their PowerBI dashboard and backend as their initial version was running too slow. The dashboard had more than 60 pages and was envisioned for relational managers to monitor their own performance and their subordinates’.

ThinkCol streamlined the institution’s existing DAX code, implemented best practices, and simplified the data model, so as to significantly ease the computation of the dashboard. During the process, ThinkCol also worked closely with a technology infrastructure company to carry out the changes required.

Originally, only 20 concurrent users can be handled by the dashboard due to the heavy computation from inefficient code and data model. After ThinkCol’s optimization, the dashboard can now accommodate up to 400 people concurrently and offered efficient access to data.
